Chocolate Hazelnut Kisses

If you like Chocolate Hazelnut spread, also known as Nutella then you'll enjoy these cookies.  They are crunchy on the outside from the raw sugar crystals and soft on the inside.  


Mix the following ingredients and set aside: 
1 c all purpose flour
1/2 c white wheat flour
1/4 c soy flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

In a stand mixer or using a hand mixer: 
Cream together for 3 minutes : 
1/2 c hazelnut spread
1 stick of butter
1/4 c Agave Nectar
1/2 c brown sugar

Add 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla extract, blend until incorporated.  


Mix in dry ingredients, just until incorporated.  


1/2 c raw sugar crystals (to roll dough in)
18 -Hershey Kisses (or as I used Caramel filled Kisses) unwrapped



Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  



Shape cookie dough into walnut shaped balls and roll in sugar crystals.  Place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet approx 4 inches apart.  Bake for 8 minutes, remove and push kiss in the center of each cookie, place back in the oven for an additional 3 minutes.  Allow to cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes and remove to cooling rack.  



Makes 18 cookies.  

These go great with a nice cup of hot cocoa!  Enjoy with you family, friends or as a sweet treat for yourself.
